Meeting Dates: 11/13; 12/11; 1/15

Notes from FWA’s “The Greatest Writer’s Conference on Earth”

2013 Friday Night Key Note Speaker Michael Wiley:

  1. Learn what you need to know…Become the expert you need to be.

  2. Love your research…there’s no need to be embarrassed, you’re WORKING!

  3. Love every one of your characters from a place in your heart that forgives all.

  4. One character might call another “old, fat, and ugly”; just don’t do it form an authorial point of view.

  5. Just write. Books happen though rewriting and editing, so…

  6. Write drunk; edit sober.

  7. Be fearless: research fearlessly; write fearlessly, edit fearlessly, read fearlessly.

  8. Read. Read. Read.

  9. Don’t write the book you want to write. Write the book you want to READ.

  10. Do it. Just DO IT! Excuses be damned!

See you on NOVEMBER 13!
