Book Fair in Clearwater

Florida authors of great fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children’s literature will be on hand to sell and sign their books!

About this Event

Join us in the “LitLoft” at Keiser University for this day of reading and fun! Local authors will be selling and signing their books during this family-friendly event to kick off a great summer of reading!

Keiser University Clearwater Campus is hosting a local author book fair on June 15 from 9 a.m. to Noon? We’d love to have FWA members selling and signing their books, but space is limited. They can call 727-576-6500 to reserve space at $20 per table or for more info.

new time new place

Need a writing prompt? Consider starting your story for the upcoming Collection: Writers @ Work:

It’s all about construction. Writers build stories and poems. Some are epic skyscraper poems, some are bungalow flash fiction stories. What kind of construction worker are you or is your work? How about your characters? Are they constantly evolving, robots, colorful, crazy-eyed, comical, whack-a-doodles? Tell us about your working environment or what you’d wish it was, or maybe what it used to be and now fame has changed it all! Or perhaps what a work-in-progress means to you. The construction area is boundless, so have fun with it.

Reminder!

Hello Lakeland Writers! As you know we have been searching for a new location (as Concord Coffee limits our critique times).

We are going to hold a trial meeting on Monday, December 10 @ 6:00 at Panera Bread @ The Shoppes of Lakeland (Northside) 4159 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland, FL 33809. If you are available, I’d love for you to join me to check out this new location.

They have a small space for us to use, and while we cannot reserve it, we can see if the atmosphere is right for our group and hopefully have volunteers to stake it out and snag it for us!

We can determine the date, time, etc if we choose to change.

ALSO…I still plan to hold a regular meeting on December 19 (not December 12) as previously advertised at Concord Coffee @ 6:00pm.

If I have completely confused you, please email me!

Remember to bring up to 1000 unpublished words to share with the group.
